What should I do in an emergency on the Law School campus?

  • Life-threatening emergencies: Call 911 (or 9-911 from a campus phone), or go to the nearest emergency department.
  • Urgent care during daytime hours: Call the HUHS Law School Health Service at 617-495-4414 and let the receptionist know that you have an urgent matter. He or she will either connect you with the triage nurse, or connect you directly with one of the clinicians. If you already have a primary care physician (PCP) who knows you, this will greatly facilitate communication.
  • Urgent care after clinic hours on evenings, weekends or holidays: Call the After Hours Urgent Care Clinic at HUHS in Holyoke Center at 617-495-5711. The staff and clinicians will discuss with you appropriate next steps, which might include traveling to Holyoke Center in Cambridge for care, or going to a local emergency department.
