Should contact lens-wearers have back-up glasses on hand?

All contact lens wearers should have a pair of glasses as an emergency back-up.

If you lose or rip your lenses or your eyes become irritated or inflamed, you will need to wear glasses. It is advisable to have both glasses and contact lens prescriptions updated periodically because they are not interchangeable.
