Should pregnant women have any concerns about wearing contact lenses?

Pregnancy or use of birth control pills can change your prescription by causing
temporary changes in corneal curvatures.

After delivery, the cornea stabilizes into its new shape within a few days or months.

Soft lens wearers usually experience no problems, but hard lens wearers may experience discomfort and vision changes. Changes are best confirmed by two or more eye exams and new lens may be required when the corneas have stabilized.
