Primary Care Overview
- Your primary care team works closely with you to provide high-quality outpatient care in a friendly, comfortable environment.
- We recommend establishing a relationship with your primary care team before any urgent medical needs.
- You can select another primary care physician at any time.
- Primary care/internal medicine is available at each of our satellite clinic locations.
- Providers are available for telemedicine visits during operating hours. Please note: Telemedicine appointments are only available to patients located in Massachusetts at the time of the visit.
Routine Care Includes:
- Physical exams
- Diagnosis and treatment of illness
- Management of chronic conditions
- Routine health screenings
- Preventive care

Cancellations
Please notify us as soon as possible so that we can make the appointment available to another patient. You can cancel your appointment by calling your provider or logging into the Patient Portal.

Understanding Your Preventive Health Exam (Physical Exam) Billing
Mild respiratory illness can be managed at home with rest, fluids, and over-the-counter medications. If visiting HUHS for respiratory illness and/or COVID-19 exposure, please wear a face mask.
Urgent Care is available at the Smith Campus Center. We provide advice and treatment for urgent health problems, both physical and emotional, that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening emergencies. If a problem seems life-threatening, please call 911 immediately.
HUHS offers resources around sexual and reproductive health, including confidential STI testing, contraceptives, and emergency contraception.
When you and your family are experiencing acute illnesses and recovery, we help assess your medical and psychosocial needs and facilitate access to appropriate levels of care and services. We ensure that you receive the best and most appropriate services and care within your defined insurance benefits.
We provide immunizations and expert advice prior to your international travel.
Quitting smoking has enormous health benefits that begin within hours after quitting. Even if you have already tried to quit, we are confident you can succeed. Stopping is not easy, but you can do it.
Our primary care and mental health clinicians are available to discuss smoking concerns and provide treatments and referrals.
